ABOUT

Youngbloods are a band of brothers who have come together to create high energy, loud, pop punk/hardcore music. They have been inspired by bands such as Beartooth, Parkway Drive, Blink 182, Four Year Strong, Belvedere and many amazing local musicians.

I first started playing in a band because it felt like on stage or in practice was the only place where I could truly be myself and escape all the stress and negative things going on in my life. It later helped to bring me out of my shell, and shaped me into the person I am today. I keep writing and playing because music is the only thing that has ever made sense to me, and the only thing I could ever see myself doing; I've never wanted to succeed in something so badly in my life. Biggest personal influences for me include Alexisonfire, Stick To Your Guns, Your Demise, The Devil Wears Prada, and Parkway Drive.

My goals for 2017 are to push our new album "We Will" as far as we can, and continuing to grow as a Singer and Frontman

Drums

I started playing music because I had friends that played in a band, and I had seen how much fun it was; instead of just hauling gear I would play too! I decided I wanted to play back in 2004 and I got my big start in high school band playing jazz blues and a lot of Motown era music! Not long after the beginning, a buddy and myself recruited various bass players just so we could play, and that eventually turned into the first band I was ever in. It's been a snowball experience ever since. My influences are all over: punk, rock, metal, hip-hop and anything from the 80s. As far as I'm concerned, good tunes are good tunes!

Bass

I started playing music in Band Class in school. Really though, it was like a smoking kinda deal. A few friends started messing around on a bass and we'd take turns trying to jam Korn songs. From there, I got asked to join Sophmore Jakes and it was on. Music is a great way to blow off some steam, growing up any bad issue that set the day off bad would go away in a bassline at a lunch break. Influences growing up were always Metallica, Korn and Mudvayne; something about each of those bass players style really stuck with me. In 2017 my goal is to push each of us musically, release a video for our single “Bangarang” and hopefully a brief tour of Western Canada
